I have been pulling it around with My K5 Blazer. Freon is R12 and your Hummer contains R134a which is not Freon. My H3 Does not have a Hitch. Another reason the H2 is rated low is the rear coil springs or air susp. But in short--no you can't improve the towing capacity of the deuce short of going diesel, and then you won't know what you're rated to. Now the light kit ,where is the connection to put a light kit? If there is an opportunity to repair your equipment without resorting to towing, then it is better to do so. If u could add air assist to the coil springs that would help so the susp.
